I did this painting after I had finished my series of self-portraits for a figure drawing class. This one was completely imaginative. It somewhat resembles me, so I guess I'll call it a portrait. Perhaps it is me after having encountered some horrible radioactive substance. Watercolor on paper, approx 12x17".
Wow! This is fantastic! So... gross and bloated, and the colors really confirm the sickness of yours in this portrait (post-nuclear experimenting). What inspired you to do this? I absolutely adore that bottom lip. That's some crazy shit there, man! You have a lot of imagination, and you don't seem to have too much trouble visualizing it, either. Awesome.
That is pretty fucking excellent. Great detail around the eyes. I also dig how it sort of disintegrates and splits into the separate colors around the edges.
Thank you so much! I wish I could paint everything I visualised. I have so many pieces I can't post, because my idea turned out to be a pile of crap. That bottom lip is pretty sassy . . . I guess my inspiration was the series of self portraits I did. I had looked at myself for so long, I wanted to see what would happen if I just used the residual image in my head.
Indeed I have. He is really awesome, all that melting . . . My school has a few of his works hanging in the museum, the originals are quite a sight to behold.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
